  • What are clear aligners?

However, clear aligners can help to address this issue. Clear aligners such as Invisalign® can straighten your teeth in a discreet and convenient process.


    Clear aligners consist of custom-made sets of clear dental trays. When worn, these trays blend into your teeth, becoming virtually invisible. Over time, they serve to slowly pull your teeth towards proper alignment.


    Each tray is worn for a certain period recommended by your dentist, and then the next tray in the series is used. This process is repeated until your teeth arrive at their desired position.


  • What types of conditions can clear aligners treat?

    Clear aligners are designed to treat a wide range of bite problems, just as traditional braces. Some of these include:

    • Overcrowding
    • Crossbite
    • Large gaps between teeth
    • Underbite
    • Overbite

    However, there are situations where clear aligners are not advisable. Clear aligners are often most effective with minor or moderate alignment issues.   • What should I expect with clear aligners?

    Initially, Oasis Dental Team takes detailed, computerized images of your teeth and jaw and uses this information to create a customized treatment plan. A special lab will make your clear aligner trays and have them shipped to the team at Oasis Dental Team.


    Usually, your set of aligners consists of roughly 20-29 trays per arch. You wear each aligner tray for a specific amount of time. With each new aligner in the series, you may notice a small amount of discomfort initially, although this will fade over time.
